Today’s Hesitant Yet Truly Morbid Fact!
Yukitoshi Masuda, 13 years old, was doing fire prevention work under the Japanese student mobilization order, 400 meters from the hypocenter of the atomic bomb explosion in Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. That morning, for the first time, he hesitated to go to work. His mother soothed him and sent him out. She regrets that to this day, wondering why he hesitated. His body was never found.
