Today’s Ruthless Yet Truly Morbid Fact!
Iron collars used to punish slaves in Jamaica in the 1830s were ruthlessly designed. From the circumference of the collar projected three sharp pointed rods, about eighteen inches long, at equal intervals from each other. These effectively prevented the slave from lying down in anything resembling a comfortable position, for one or more rods would touch the ground, pressing the collar against his neck and causing agony when he turned his head.

I need to get these collars for my workers, they would think twice before lying down and taking a break.
