These initials were made by the women, who were housed here until 1959. The number of women incarcerated in Montana at any time was usually fewer than ten. I had thought I&#8217;d taken pictures of the nondescript women&#8217;s prison &#8211; but I can&#8217;t seem to locate them, so maybe I just imagined it.
