Today’s Pranked Yet Truly Morbid Fact!
In 2003, David Shippentower, 46, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of his friend Leonard Strong and was sentenced to one year in prison. The trouble started when Shippentower and Strong were drinking together on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon. They’d already killed a dozen beers each when Strong, as a prank, handed Shippentower another can, this time filled with urine. Posterity doesn’t record how much of it Shippentower drank before he realized that it was recycled beer, but in any case he didn’t find it funny, and beat his friend to death.
