In this episode of GHASTLY!, the wonderful blog Monster Brains, by way of the ever-generous Mike Marano, presents a “series of intensely grotesque Italian World War One era anti-German postcards from about 1915. More information and links below the many images. Mighty disturbing stuff.”
I wonder if these influenced R. Crumb at all?
